Privacy Policy
What this website collects, what it does not, and why the free tools never see your Instagram password.

Who this covers
This policy explains how the likesforinstagram.com website handles information. It is written in plain English rather than legal boilerplate, because the short version is genuinely short: the website collects very little, and the free tools collect nothing at all.
The Boostly iOS app is a separate product with its own data handling. Apple requires every app to publish a privacy label on its store listing — see the App Store page for what the app collects.
What the website collects
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit and which pages they read. It runs in production only. Through it, Google may process:
- Pages you visit on this site, and how long you spend on them
- Approximate location, derived from your IP address at country or city level
- Device and browser type, screen size, and operating system
- The site or search engine that referred you here
What the website does not collect
There is no account system on this website, so there is nothing to sign up for and no profile to store.
- No Instagram credentials. No page on this site has an Instagram login form. We never ask for, receive, or store your Instagram password.
- No email address, unless you choose to email us. There is no newsletter and no contact form.
- No payment details. Nothing on this website is for sale.
- No Instagram data. We never receive your follower list, your following list, or anything else from your Instagram account.
The free unfollowers tool
This is the part worth being specific about, because it is the part people are right to be cautious of.
The unfollowers tool is a script you copy into your own browser. When you run it on instagram.com, it reads your follower and following lists using the session you are already signed into, compares them in your browser’s memory, and displays the result on the page.
Nothing is transmitted to us. The script makes network requests to instagram.com and to no other host. It stores nothing on our servers, because it never contacts them. It contains no analytics and no telemetry.
You do not have to take our word for this. The full source is published in readable form on the tool page, and you can open your browser’s Network tab while it runs and confirm that the only requests are to Instagram.
Any CSV file you export is generated in your browser and saved to your own device. We never see it.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies to tell repeat visits apart from new ones. We set no other cookies, and we do not use advertising or retargeting cookies.
You can block cookies in your browser settings, use Google’s official opt-out browser add-on, or browse in a private window. The site works normally either way.
Third parties
A small number of third parties are involved in running this site:
- Google Analytics — traffic measurement, as described above.
- Apple — if you follow a link to the App Store, Apple’s privacy policy applies from that point.
- Instagram / Meta — if you use the browser tool, your requests go to Instagram, and Instagram’s own policies apply to them.
- Our hosting provider — like any web host, it processes standard server request logs.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data is held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to it being processed.
Because this website has no accounts, the only data that could relate to you is the anonymised analytics described above. If you want to raise a request, email us and we will help.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Instagram’s own terms require users to be at least 13.
Not affiliated with Instagram
Likes for Instagram and the Boostly app are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc. Instagram is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be summarised here rather than slipped in quietly.
